Quick-Skill Workshop: Learn Descript with Jordache Johnson

Join NSA Houston for a fast-paced, hands-on skill builder focused on mastering Descript! This quick workshop will be led by Jordache Johnson, who run a small internal training session showing some NSA Board Members how Descript will be used for chapter marketing this coming year.

For speakers, trainers, anyone building a business, editing your own video quickly changes what you can do. Jordache will show you a few of the AI tools and features he leans on to make it even faster too.

Whether you're creating podcasts, presentations, or social content, this session will give you actionable tools you can start using right away.

Direct your AI co-editor to do your video editing for you, or do it yourself with intuitive editing tools. With Descript, video editing is as easy as typing.

NSA Houston Cooking Network Event

Come make homemade bread from scratch! As part of our new board year (July '26 - June '27), we’re adding a focus to getting involved more with our community. That includes volunteering at great organizations in our city. So, we’re visiting The Keyes Ingredients nonprofit for a networking event.

This organization started after their 2-year-old son survived cancer, and they learned how important nutritious, anti-inflammatory food is to the cancer journey (and really all of our daily lives). The Keyes Ingredients is about to offer Cooking Experiences in collaboration with two other companies, and we will be a pilot group for them – testing out the flow and overall experience.

Time: 12 pm – 2 pm (please arrive by 11:45 am)

Location: 1755 Woodstead Ct, Spring, TX 77380

Seats available: 8 people, members only + board members

Cost: The event is FREE and only for NSA Houston members, but the one thing we request in return is honest, open feedback about the event. That’s it!

What to wear: Comfortable clothes, hair pulled back

What to bring: Yourself! All food, kitchen supplies and apron will be provided.
